A Titanic themed hotel has re-opened its kitchen a week after it was closed.
The 30 James Street Hotel was closed last week when a the council conducted a routine random inspection and found mice droppings in the kitchen.
A week later and the council’s environmental health team has allowed the hotel to re-open their kitchen but with a zero star hygiene rating following their protocol. They said: “That is the lowest rating that can be offered.”
The hotel has been open as normal but their kitchen has been closed. However, after the inspection the staff told diners at the hotel restaurant to finish their drinks and then leave.
As guests from all over the world stay at this hotel, Signature Living has made improvements and does expect a higher rating soon when it is next due for an inspection.
They say that the current rating of zero stars for the hotel does not reflect the changes that they have made recently.
